Girls Tennis

We started the season with 19 girls and finished
with 19 although Sally closed out her career in Spain.
As usual, our girls made good use of summer school to
improve their skills and techniques.
The varsity finished with a 6-10 dual meet record
and finished in the middle in our multi-team meets.
We finished 4th at the conference team but
only managed 4 points at the sub-sectionals, although
we won 6 out of 13 matches. The J.V. Squad had an impressive
9-1 record and did well in their 2 multi-team matches.
Although the varsity's record was not great,
Coaches Rogers and Ganser were pleased that we
were very competitive in every match we played.
Most of our non-conference foes were Division 1
schools. Seven seniors graduate and they will be hard to replace.
The coaches feel that we could go to the next level if we
took our tennis outside of Jefferson. We badly need to c
compete in the off-season if we want to improve our record.
Coaches Rogers and Ganser feel privileged to coach girls
of this caliber, both on and off the court. We had fun and have
appreciated the efforts of our players.
