Jon Greene will be hosting another pre-game cook-out on 
Saturday November 7, 2009, beginning at 2:00.
If anyone wants to bring a dessert or cookies, feel free to do so.
Let me know if you are going to bring something 
so we can plan on how much space we will need.
The game is at 4:00 pm at Jefferson High School.
Advance tickets go on sale 8-4 daily at the high school main office $4 each.

Thirty-two Jefferson High School athletes attended a leadership 
training session.  This training was provided  by Craig Hillier, a 
nationally recognized speaker/author on student  leadership.  The
funding for this opportunity came from the Character  Education 
Inititiative in the Jefferson School District.   This training focused
on the steps that student-athletes can take within  their teams, within
their school, and within their community to enhance  their performance
in athletics and other parts of their lives.   Mr. Hillier gave a   dynamic 
presentation and provided the students with  immediate steps to   take as
they left the training, along with further  support in the form  of his
book Playing Beyond The Scoreboard.  It  will be exciting to see the
implementation and follow-through of this  training by these 32 young
leaders during the rest of the school year.
